As the Apple accessory became more and more popular we could notice that the KPop Airpods cases started to be available as part of many collections of merchandise released for the concerts and other events. Airpods were designed for the Apple devices but can also work with any smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc. that can support at least Bluetooth 4.0.
The first generation was released on December 13, 2016. The product came in a white case. But only after the second generation showed up on the market the wireless charging cases became available. The first generation was then discontinued.
The official case can charge the Airpods so you can use it for 24 hours. Every 15 minutes of charging can extend the listening time by 3 hours.
There are plenty of KPop Airpods cases (although the word cover would be more appropriate) that you can get if you are a fan of South Korean music and you're looking for some nice accessory. They are of different shapes and colors and will definitely please you if you are the owner of the product and you want to find a cool and distinctive case. Some of them feature the name of a particular KPop group, their logo or the logo of the event the item was released for. Sometimes you can find an alternative in the form of a Samsung Buds case. So if you prefer these earphones you can easily get it online.
The groups that has released at least one variant of a KPop Airpods case are BTS, Twice, ATEEZ and Blackpink. Although they are just a cover for the case and cannot charge your Airpods they will be a perfect addition to your collection of goods.
BTS for example released several selections related to their BT21 line of merchandise. Two of them were a collaboration between Line Friends and Royche. Black and colorful (each BTS case is in different color) version consists of seven pieces and each of them is available separately. On front you will find one of the BT21 characters including Tata, Chimmy, Cooky, Koya, RJ, Shooky and Mang. The accessory will let you charge the earbuds without removing them and the original case. The item is made of silicon and measures 48 x 33.6 x 57.5 mm. On the package you will find a sticker of authenticity that proves this is a genuine collectible. The item will be perfect for your buds. It's worth noting that Royche has also released at the same time a mouse, a wireless keyboard and a monitor figure.
A special case was released for the BTS 5th Muster: Magic Shop that was held in Seoul and Busan in 2019. It was dark blue - which was consisted with the color scheme of the event - and featured the logo of the Muster on front. The item came in a square cardboard box with a transparent window on front.
For the first anniversary of their debut ATEEZ released a selection of goods for their fans. The group debuted on October 24, 2018 and commemorated the anniversary with a special fanmeeting titled "Moon River" that was also broadcasted on their VLIVE channel for those who couldn't attend. Among the items such as a black hoodie, 5 luggage stickers in a set, and an acrylic standees, you could find a black KPop Airpods case. The item features a golden compass on front and is made of TPU. A similar looking variant for the Galaxy Buds made of Polycarbonate was also available in the collection. The cases measure respectively 48 x 57 x 24 mm and 80 x 43 x 31 mm and were manufactured and distributed by Play Company Corp. under the license by KQ Entertainment.
Probably the most original is a Blackpink Airpod case designed to depict a heart. It was prepared for the fanmeeting titled Private Stage [Chapter 1] that was held at the Olympic Park Olympic Hall on September 21, 2019. It is an official product from YG Entertainment manufactured by Romane Corp. On the pink heart you will spot the name of the KPop group and the words "Heart Stick". The case comes with a charm that looks like a small battery on which you can spot a phrase "For BLINK Battery". The size of the item is 56.4 x 62 x 33 mm and it's made of silicone.
Also a special keyring for this Blackpink accessory was available. It consists of three charms - a bus, a palm tree and a Ferris wheel. This interesting collectible is made of tin and zinc alloy and was manufactured by PINAWAKENS.
A similar product was released for other YG Entertainment group - Winner. The cover could be found as part of the merchandise for the Cross tour that began in 2019. It features the logo of Winner and is made of silicone. A small battery-like charm is also added.
A special selection of merch released in conjunction with the tour 6ixense of AB6IX also consists of a KPop Airpods case. It is made of TPU and measures 45 x 25 x 55 mm. It was manufactured in China by Brandnew Music.
Another cover was available as part of the collection of goods prepared for GOT7's sixth fan meeting "Once Upon A Time". You could purchase all the items online from various KPop stores. This KPop Airpods case is transparent and made of PC. It features one Gotoon character on front and a name of the chosen by you member on the back. All members are here available including JB, Mark, Jinyoung, Jackson, Youngjae, Yugyeom and BamBam. It has a hook on the side so you can attach to it a charm for example. The dimensions of the cover are 48 x 25 x 40 mm. Copan Global was responsible for manufacturing the product.
Another group from JYP Entertainment, Twice has released a couple of variants of the earphones case. The first one comes from the Twaii's Shop Pop-Up Store that operated in the summer of 2019. The selection consists of 9 different pieces (1 for each member including Jihyo, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Sana, Mina, Momo and Tzuyu) featuring one of the Lovelys characters. Each KPop cover is in different color. The selection is similar to the BTS and Royche line I mentioned before. The size of the item is 50 x 55 x 35 mm.
The second variant was available at the second Halloween fan meeting with the official fandom Once that took place at the Hwajung Tiger Dome of the Korea University in Seoul on October 20, 2019. This time the KPop Airpods case was available in two colors - burgundy and beige - both with different graphic depicting Lovely character on front. It has more elegant look than other items of that kind. The case for the Buds - which is slightly longer - is also available in the collection.
