KARD is a co-ed group created by DSP Media in 2016. It consists of two female members Somin and Jiwoo and two male members J.Seph and B.M. Somin previously debuted as a part of 5-member group Puretty before joining the lineup of the newest DSP girl group April. She eventually left April in November of 2015. J-Seph and B.M were supposed to debut as a Hip-Hop duo but their agency decided they will join KARD instead. Jiwoo was a trainee under FNC Entertainment - a home of groups like F.T. Island, C.N. Blue, AOA, SF9 and Cherry Bullet - but decided to left the agency and debut under DSP. KARD released their first mini album called Hola Hola on July 19, 2017 consisting the title song of the same title.
The group has released some collections of KARD merchandise including those for their tours in America as well as for their comeback with Ride On The Wind album. That also includes the items prepared for the 2022 Wild Kard tour in South America.
In 2017 the group held their first tour titled Wild Kard in the United States. The members gave the concerts in three cities starting on May 5 at the Copernicus Center in Chicago. They also performed at the Stereo Live Houston venue on May 7 and at The Theatre at Ace Hotel DTLA in Los Angeles three days later on May 10.
The group - in a collaboration with SubKultureEnt - prepared three pieces of KARD merchandise. These were the official tour poster with photos of all four members and the title of the concert tour, a black hat with the signs of four French suits - clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades, and a black T-shirt with the name of the group on front and the list of three cities the tour visited on the back and a full title of the tour. The T-shirt is made of cotton is available in five sizes - S, M, L, XL and 2XL.
The merchandise went on sale on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. You could order it online and pick it up at the chosen venue. If not it could be delivered to your home (all shipping occurred 4-6 weeks after the tour ended). The leftover items were later available for purchase to the concerts attendees. The prices online were slightly smaller than the prices at the venues.
The quartet went back to America once again in September for the second part of their Wild KARD tour. This time they visited Minneapolis (State Theatre), Washington DC (Warner Theatre), New York (PlayStation Theater), Miami (James L. Knight Center) and San Francisco (The Warfield).
The collection of Kard merchandise available for the concerts included a white T-shirt with the logo of the tour on front and the list of all cities with the dates the group performed in on the back (available in five sizes: S, M, L, XL, 2XL), a white hat and a poster with one big photo of all members. Additionally a light stick/penlight commemorating the tour was also included in this collection.
The items were also available for purchase both online (starting Thursday, August 24, 2017) and on-site.
The third extended play of KARD titled Ride On The Wind was released on July 25, 2018. It consists of 6 tracks including the title song of the same name as the album. It was distributed by Loen Entertainment.
In the conjunction with the release of the album a selection of KARD merchandise was released. The collection consists of five different items.
