BT21 is a collaboration project between Big Hit Entertainment and Line Friends Corporation which began in September of 2017. The members of BTS actively took part in the creation process of the eight characters, which were designed based on the drawings of the boys. The names of the characters are - Cooky the pink rabbit created by Suga, Chimmy - a yellow puppy designed by Jimin, Tata, an alien in a shape of a heart, a small pony Mang which was drawn by J-Hope, a round brown cookie Shooky designed by Suga, a cute white alpaca RJ created by Jin, and a tiny blue koala Koya which is a result of a creative thought of RM. One additional BT21 character named Van was brought to life by the creators from Line Friends. It represents the spirit of the official fandom Army.
