The members of the official fandom Orbit had a short period of time between June 29 and 30, when they could order the light stick before anyone else. The pre-orders for the general public began on July 1, 2020 and lasted for 10 days until June 10.

The regular fans who ordered they light stick during the pre-order period received 12 different postcards. On June 25, 2020, the pre-orders for the members of Japanese fanclub was announced. They were opened between June 29 and August 20. The Japanese fans could get a special clear file and a sheet of die-cut stickers with the names of all 12 members.
The item was eventually released on August 25, 2020. It is the official piece of merchandise from Blockberry Creative, manufactured by 101X.
The Loona light stick is currently the second biggest out of all fanlights of any KPop group and artist (after Dreamcatcher). Its length is 435 mm and is almost twice bigger than the average length of any item of that type. It has a really long handle, a head that looks like a top of a scepter or a crown, and a white part in the middle, on which you will find a button and the logo of Loona. The head is in gold and silver, and features a crescent moon at the top and a round ball inside with the logo of the official fandom Orbit.
The light stick requires 3 AAA batteries to operate and can produce the light in 13 different colors including white and the official shades of all the members - bright pink (Heejin), yellow (Hyunjin), green (Haseul), orange (Yeojin), light pink (Vivi), red (Kim Lip), blue (Jinsoul), purple (Choerry), burgundy (Yves), peach (Chuu), eden green (Go Won) and silver (Olivia Hye).
The light stick can actually create the light of any color since it has an RBGW LED build in. The item can work in three modes including on, flicker and dimming. The batteries are hidden in a special compartment in the top part of the handle. You have to unscrew the handle to get to the compartment.
Technically the item could be controlled wirelessly through Bluetooth by the central control system at the concerts, but currently a dedicated official app is not available.
The official Loona light stick measures 96 x 100 x 435 mm. It comes with a hand strap, which will be very useful during the concerts, and a user manual containing some additional information on how to use the collectible. All are packed in a white box with an authentication sticker on the back proving it is a genuine product. It was designed by 101X and manufactured in China.
In a conjunction with the light stick premiere, additional two products were released. The pre-orders for both items lasted for the same periods of time, beginning on June 29, 2020 for Orbit 2.0 members, and on July 1 for all other fans. The first product is a beautiful pouch for your fanlight, which in a shape of a tube. Its dimensions are 110 x 455 mm and it's made of PU Leather and Polyester. It has three zippers to open and close it with, and a long, 1440 mm strap which will be very handy if you would like to carry the Loona light stick around.
The second item is a mesh cape. It features the name of the group written in Korean on the left side on the front, the Orbit logo on the back. The total length of the cape is 840 mm and it is made of 100% Polyester. Both products were manufactured by 101X.
Additionally, when the sales of the second batch of the light sticks started in September, two other pieces of merchandise were prepared for the fans. The first one is the official Loona light stick keyring, which looks like a smaller version of the item it was based on. It has a metal chain and looks almost exactly as the original. It can work in three modes (when the white light is used), and generate the light of any of 13 colors (it uses RGB LED). Six cell AG3 batteries are used to power up the keyring. The size of the product is 46.2 x 43.2 x 137.8 mm.
The second collectible available during the September sales was a mini flag. It is available in 11 variants, each representing a single member of Loona. It is composed of a pole and the flag itself featuring a picture of a chosen member, made of fabric similar to that, of which the official slogans are made of. It measures 65 x 150 mm and comes in a silver plastic bag. On the back side of the flag you will spot an artwork representing the official fanlight.
It was not the first time when the official Loona light stick was released. A simpler one, made of acrylic, came out as part of the merchandise prepared for the two events titled Premier Greeting Line & Up back in 2018. The events were held on June 2 and 3, and were organized to officially introduce all members of the group to the audience. The item had a basic white handle with the logo of the group, and a flat transparent head with the Loona's name written in Korean. You could customize it with the official stickers.
The same light stick showed up later during the concert Loonabirth, which took place in Seoul, at the Olympic Hall on August 19, 2018. The size of the collectible is 94 x 197 mm.
