BTS Dicon Magazines

In 2018 the South Korean media company Dispatch decided to release the latest edition of their magazine devoted to BTS. The company is probably best known from their coverage of breaking news from the world of music and entertainment.

The Dicon magazine is always full of interesting collectibles. The package often contains the items featuring a pictures taken during the promotional photoshoot. Aside from Dispatch's partnership with BTS, they collaborated with other KPop artists including Twice, Seventeen, IZ*ONE, EXO-SC, Wanna One, NU'EST and NCT 127. Dicon is always a great treat for the fans, and something you definitely would like to have in your collection. A very simple concept, yet very sophisticated and worth owning.

THE GUIDE

Behind The Scene 2018 Edition

The first BTS Dicon edition came out in 2018 under the title Behind The Scene. It was a modest release in a form of a typical magazine (although significantly thicker) showcasing the pictures of the group taken in Los Angeles. On the cover you can spot all 7 members of BTS including Jin, Suga, Jimin, J-Hope, V, RM and Jungkook. The magazine contains Korean text.

The product came with some additional pieces of merchandise. The first one is a set of 15 photo cards, composed of 1 group and 14 individual members sheets (2 per each member). The second item is a set of 10 postcards. The set contains 7 single member sheets, 2 unit and 1 group sheet. Both items come in a separate transparent plastic package.

Dicon 10th Volume

For the next BTS Dicon edition we had to wait until 2020. This time it was a little bit more sophisticated than the previous one. It was the 10th issue of the magazine, and was released in eight different variants - a group version and seven individual member versions. All of them come with a special selection of goods which will definitely please even the most demanding BTS followers.

The product was available for pre-order between December 18 and December 29, 2020. It was officially released on January 27, 2021.

The individual member variant of this BTS Dicon edition contains a photobook with some beautiful pictures printed on 240 pages. It measures 220 x 285 mm and aside from the photos it contains interviews with the selected member. As an addition to the photobook inside the package you will find an acrylic keyring of a size of 30 x 95 mm and a set of 5 photo cards which are larger than the typical ones, measuring 60 x 85 mm.

The next item you will get with this Dicon edition is a card calendar for 2021 with lenticular cover. It is composed of 13 cards and its dimensions are 110 x 142 mm. The last collectible included in the package is a double sided accordion card photos of a selected BTS remember. It is a Christmas related item so it will come in handy during the Winter season. It measures 880 x 142 mm.

The group version of the BTS Dicon has a hardcover and comes in an outer box of a dimensions of 233 x 300 x 52 mm. The photobook itself contains 304 pages full of wonderful pictures of BTS and measures 220 x 285 mm. On the cover you will notice the word "Dicon" and a photo of all members wearing a white elegant attires.

As usual there are plenty of interesting merchandise the issue is coming with. You will all receive 8 narrow posters (1 group and 7 individual member sheets). They measure 280 x 900 mm and come in a round sturdy tube. A group desk calendar with a lenticular cover is also included. You can probably put it on your desk. It is not too large (the size of the item is 190 x 210 mm) so it will not take up too much space.

The last two items that come with this Dicon release are 1 sheet of stickers measuring 100 x 220 mm, and 10 photo cards in a set. You will get 3 group and 1 per each member cards of a size of 60 x 85 mm. They are of the same length as the typical KPop photo card, but of a little bit larger width.

It was available globally exclusively from the global version of an e-commerce website Gmarket.

BTS Goes On Global Edition

Another version of BTS Dicon magazine showed up later in 2021. It is printed in English and was the first global edition. It comes with several collectibles beside the book itself counting 332 pages containing interviews with the members, photos taken during the promotional photo shoot, material showcasing various topics including the artistic careers of the boys, and behind the scenes exclusive pictures.

Inside the package you will find a 132 pages photobook with some additional pictures. The package with Dicon contains also a white T-shirt, which is a nice bonus you will be pleased to add to your wardrobe. On the back of the T-shirt there's an interesting design depicting the members of BTS including Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, V, RM and Jimin and the title "Dicon". On the front you will find a graphic with letters from the Korean alphabet which is known as Hangul. This piece of fashion is made of 100% Cotton and is only available in one free size so it might not fit you. The measurements are as follow: body length: 71 cm, shoulder width: 48 cm, chest with: 57 cm, sleeve length: 23 cm. Please check beforehand if it will be right either for you, or for someone you're planning to give it to.

8 original double sided photo cards are also included. There are 7 individual members cards and 1 group sheet. They feature the boys in a white and black clothes. At the bottom of all photo cards you can spot the title of this Dicon issue "BTS Goes On". The size of the product is 60 x 85 mm.

All of the goods are carefully packed in a hardcover box. The issue itself measures 220 x 285 mm, while the size of the additional photo book is 210 x 270 mm.
