On November 9, 2019 the official SuperM light stick was revealed. You could pre-order it the same day from the global online shop of SM Entertainment for a price of $50 USD. The light stick was officially released on November 11, 2019 at the first concert of the We Are The Future Live tour. This is another KPop group of SM Entertainment - which was formed of the members of other bands including NCT, EXO and SHINee - to have their own stick. The product was manufactured in South Korea.
It is composed of a black body and a translucent head featuring the logo of SuperM. On the bottom part of the handle you can see the name of the group written in white and red. The SuperM light stick comes - as all other from SM - with an already attached rubber hand strap with a small logo of the group on the button. Similarly to the WayV fanlight it can be personalized with a separately purchased accessories after detaching a special silicon cap. The exclusive accessories will be released at a later time.
The SuperM light stick can work in three different modes which are All Lighting, Slow Blinking and Quick Blinking and can produce the light in pink color. It needs to be powered by 3 AAA alkaline batteries and can operate for about 3 hours. The batteries have to be put into a special holder inside the handle.
The dimensions of the SuperM light stick are 75.3 x 75.3 x 247 mm and it weights 180 g. It is made of ABS, PC, silicon and aluminum. In the package you will also a user manual which features the photos of all members on the back side including Taemin, Baekhyun, Kai, Taeyong, Mark, Ten and Lucas. This is very unusual and makes the manual a little bit more interesting. Another unusual think is the package. All contents come in a square box instead of a round one which is what we would expect every time the new group from SM releases their light stick. On the white box you will notice the logo of the boy band.
The fanlight was designed so it could be wirelessly controlled at the venue of all SuperM concerts. That way they can be easily synchronized to create some sophisticated and visually beautiful light effects during the performances of the group's songs. The item was released ahead of the tour We Are The Future Live. The tour opened in Fort Worth at the Dickies Arena on November 11, 2019. The newly formed group visited and performed in 10 cities across North America including Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, New York, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, Seattle and Vancouver. The SuperM light stick was available for purchase at all venues. The members are expected to give concerts in other cities in the future.
In February of 2020 the group performed in two cities in Europe including Paris, France (February 26) and London. United Kingdom (February 28).
