Ateez Official Light Stick Lightiny

The official Ateez light stick was announced on their social accounts on January 16, 2020. It was available for pre-order starting January 22, 2020 and finally released at the beginning of next month on February 3, 2020. The light stick was available for purchase at the venue of two concerts in Seoul that took place at the Olympic Hall on February 8-9, 2020 as part of group's second world tour titled The Fellowship: Map The Treasure. The Ateez light stick was originally priced at KRW 33,000. Initially it was sold out in South Korean stores after only 2 hours and within 10 hours on all other stores. The item was manufactured in China by a company called Compact.D which was also responsible for merchandise of other KPop artists. It is an official collectible from KQ Entertainment.

The Ateez light stick was created based on the design by a fan who won the open contest that was organized back in July of 2019. The contest lasted for 16 days between July 8 and July 22, 2019. The item has a round head shaped like a globe with a visible contour of continents and a compass needle inside that looks like an hourglass. On the half-arch you will spot a phrase "8 MAKES 1 TEAM" and Ateez debut date in a form of geographical coordinates 18°10’24” (October 24, 2018). On a black handle you will find a button in a shape of keyhole and the logo of the group. There's a compass at the bottom of the handle. The light stick comes in a beautiful black box that resembles a treasure chest. On the box you will find the names of all members and some information about the product. A hand strap along with a user manual is added in the package.

The official name of the Ateez light stick is LIGHTINY which is a combination of two words "Light" and "Destiny".

The item can work in five different modes including On, Blink, Flicker and two special modes Red Aurora and Green Aurora. It needs 3 AAA alkaline batteries to operate. They are not included in the package. The light stick can be controlled wirelessly via central control mode at the venue during the concerts. This allows to create a stunning light effects based on the songs currently sung by Ateez. The product weights around 180 g and is made of PC, ABS and rubber. Its dimensions are 100 x 113 x 256 mm.

KQ Entertainment released the Ateez light stick ahead of the group's second world tour The Fellowship: Map The Treasure. The members are scheduled to perform on 18 occasions in Asia (Seoul and Japan), Europe (Madrid, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Warsaw and Moscow), and North America (Newark, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas and Los Angeles). The tour will conclude at The Forum in Los Angeles on April 26, 2020. Beside the light stick Ateez prepared a number of other collectibles for their fans who are planning to attend the events. The list of merchandise of the Soul concerts includes items such as the official reflection slogan made of suede, a set of 10 mini posters (210 x 297 mm), a set of 8 photos featuring one member on each (102 x 152 mm), 8 different types of a metal keyring, a metal brooch with three different charms, a card wallet and a lanyard in a set, a passport wallet, a black shopper bag, a square bandana (540 x 540 mm), a grey ball cap and a black hoodie made of cotton.

This is not the first time Ateez released a light stick. In January of 2019 the group came back with their second extended play titled Treasure Ep. 2 : Zero To One. In conjunction with the release of the album a special showcase was organized. The event took place at the YES24 Live Hall in Seoul on January 16, 2019. The group prepared a selection of 3 items for the fans who attended the showcase. Among the items including a set of 9 posters and a keyring you could find a much simple than this one acrylic Ateez light stick with a round head featuring the logo of the group on a compass with a smaller orange one on the handle.
