iKON Albums

There are currently 9 iKON albums released - 2 studio albums, 4 extended plays, 1 single, 1 repackage, and 1 release labeled as "Half Album", which is the first part of their first studio album Welcome Back. The group's discography includes the series New Kids, consisting of Begin, Return, Continue and The Final. All iKON's releases came out under YG Entertainment and were distributed by KT Music (later known as Genie Music Corp. Korea), and then - starting with their first repackage - by YG Plus Inc. Korea.

Welcome Back Half Album

The members debuted with their first release on October 1, 2015, the first part of their upcoming studio album titled Welcome Back. It came out under YG Entertainment and was distributed by KT Music Corp. Korea. The CD contains only 6 songs - Welcome Back, Rhythm Ta, My Type, Today, Airplane and M.U.P. The last one does not appear on the full release of Welcome Back that was going to be released in December.

The iKON album reached the highest positions on the Gaon Weekly Chart and the Taiwanese G-Music chart. It also peaked on the 3rd position on the Billboard US World chart. It later became the second most-purchased KPop release in the month of October with 82,208 copies sold, only behind Taeyeon's first extended play titled I.

The first of iKON albums is available in one physical edition - with a red cover featuring the logo of the group. It comes with a sturdy slip case and consists of a CD with the music on a cardboard panel, an 88 pages photobook, and a set of 2 sheets of stickers with 2 random photo cards of the same member in a separate envelope. There are 7 sets of 2 photo cards (14 sheets in total).

Welcome Back Studio Album

Welcome Back is the debut full-length album of the group. It was released under YG Entertainment on December 24, 2015, although it initially was scheduled for November 2, 2015. KT Music once again was responsible for the distribution. The album was released in two parts - the EP (Half Album) consisting of 6 tracks had its premiere on October 1, 2015 in both physical and digital formats. The full-length version of Welcome Back came out on December 24 and is composed of 11 songs - Dumb & Dumber, What's Wrong?, I Miss You So Bad, Rhythm Ta, Anthem, Apology, Airplane, My Type, Today, Welcome Back and the remix of Rhythm Ta. The member of iKON - B.I - was heavily involved with the composition of almost all of the songs, and is credited (alongside Bobby) as the lyricist of all of them.

The album was promoted with seven singles starting with My Type that came out on September 15, 2015. Two songs - What's Wrong? and Dumb & Dumber serve as the title songs, for which a music videos were released.

The first of iKON albums topped the Gaon Weekly Chart and G-Music chart (both Half and Full edition). It also reached number 2 on the US World chart and 3 on the Japanese Oricon chart. It sold 52,312 units and was the 5th best-selling Korean album of December 2015.

The iKON album comes in two different physical versions - Red and Green. Both have a transparent sleeve and are composed of a CD disk with the music on a cardboard panel, a photobook with 64 pages full of beautiful pictures, a set of 16 postcards, 1 random set of goods representing one of the members: 1 sheet of stickers, 3 polaroid photos and 1 random photo card chosen out of 14 variants (2 per member). The set comes in a separate envelope inside the package.

New Kids: Begin Single Album

New Kids: Begin is the first single album of the group and the second iKON album overall. It had its premiere digitally on May 22, 2017 under YG Entertainment. The physical edition came out the next day. It was distributed by Genie Music Corp. Korea (previously known as KT Music).

The single was the first installment into the series of iKON albums titled New Kids which eventually become a selection of 4 releases including Begin, Return, Continue and The Final.

On the CD you will find 2 songs including Bling Bling and B-Day, alongside the instrumental versions of both. The tracks were co-composed by B.I and written by him and Bobby. The music videos of both songs were also released.

The iKON album reached number 2 on the Gaon Weekly chart (behind only Seventeen and their 4th mini album Al1). It sold 49,380 copies in the month of May and was the 5th most-purchased release that month. It finished 2017 as the 50th best-selling Korean album of the year with 70,949 units sold.

Begin is available in two physical versions - Bold (dark cover) and Dope (light cover). Both come with a CD disk attached to the front cover, a folded collage poster (426 x 426 mm), a photobook featuring the photos of all members of iKON on 114 pages (143 x 143 mm), 1 sheet of stickers (120 x 120 mm) and a random photo card added out of 7 options (55 x 85 mm). All merchandise are distinctive to the version of Begin you'll be choosing. There are 14 different photo cards to gather if you want to complete the collection.

The size of the whole package with the iKON album is 150 x 150 x 19.5 mm. 1 poster chosen out of 2 variants (depending on the album version) was included if you pre-ordered your copy. Its size is 515 x 728 mm and it has a photo on both sides.

Return Studio Album

The second studio album of iKON titled Return (also known as New Kids: Return) was released by YG Entertainment on January 25, 2018 digitally and a day later physically (although it was available for pre-order since January 18). It was distributed by Genie Music. It is the second part of the series The New Kids which started with the single New Kids: Begin in 2017. Return was produced by B.I and contains 12 songs including the lead track Love Scenario, Beautiful, One and Only (performed by B.I), Jerk, Best Friend, Everything, Hug Me, Don't Forget, Sinosijak, Love Me, Just Go and Long Time No See. Bobby was once again credited as the lyricist for all of the songs except One and Only, Best Friend and Just Go. Psy prepared the music for Everything while Big Bang's Taeyang co-composed Long Time No See.

The third of iKON albums was nominated for the Digital Album of the Year at the MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards and Album of the Year at Melon Music Awards.

iKON Return Studio Album Cover

Return reached number 2 on the Gaon Weekly chart and number 4 on the US World chart. It was the 5th most popular KPop album of January 2018 selling 59,977 copies, and the 45th most-purchased release of the year with a total number of 105,105 copies sold.

The physical edition of the iKON album comes in two different square versions - Red and Black, similar in shape to New Kids: Begin. Both measure 150 x 150 x 24 mm and are composed of a CD disk attached to the back side of the front cover, a 16 pages booklet with the lyrics (143 x 143 mm), a 120 pages photobook and an envelope consisting of a transparent photofilm showcasing a random member (92 x 135 mm), 2 randomly selected photo cards (50 x 85 mm), a sheet of stickers (130 x 100 mm) and a set of 8 postcards (7 solo and 1 group sheet). All goods are different in both versions of Return. The photo cards are split into two sets (regular and selfie). Both sets consist of 7 variants. There are 28 different photo cards to collect.

A double-sided poster was added to all pre-orders, either Black or Red version, depending on the album variant you chose. Both measure 515 x 728 mm.

New Kids: Continue Mini Album

The third part of the New Kids series of iKON albums titled Continue was released by YG on August 2, 2018. Genie Music once again provided the distribution. On the CD you will find 5 songs including the lead single Killing Me, Freedom, Only You, Cocktail and Just for You. The extended play was produced by B.I, while Bobby helped with the lyrics for Freedom, Only You and Cocktail.

iKON New Kids: Continue Mini Album Cover

New Kids: Continue peaked at the 2nd position on Gaon chart and the 4th on Billboard US World chart. It was the 3rd most-purchased KPop release in August of 2018 with 81,826 units sold, and the 2nd best-selling album of any boy groups behind only BTS and their third compilation album Love Yourself: Answer. It was the 43th most popular release in South Korea in 2018 (it sold 109,481 copies) the most popular of iKON albums that year (the other on the list were Return (position number 45) and The Final (position number 74)).

The physical edition of New Kids: Continue is available in 2 rectangular versions - Red and Blue. They come with a translucent sleeve and measure 151 x 210 x 12 mm. Both are composed of a CD disk, an 88 pages photobook full of photos, a folded accordion postcard book (150 x 105 mm), 1 photo card of a standard size of 55 x 85 mm chosen randomly out of 7 variants. All goods are different in both Red and Blue versions.

A bonus poster - distinctive to the version of Continue - was included with all pre-orders of this iKON album. It measures 700 x 500 mm.

New Kids: The Final Mini Album

The second extended play of iKON and the fourth installment concluding the New Kids series of albums titled The Final had its premiere on October 1, 2018. It was released by YG and distributed by Genie Music. It consists of 4 songs co-composed by B.I, including the lead track Goodbye Road, Don't Let Me Know, Adore You and Perfect.

The second EP of iKON topped the Gaon chart and eventually sold 273,075 copies during the first month of the release and was the 6th best-selling KPop album in October.

iKON New Kids: The Final Mini Album Cover

The physical edition of this iKON album comes in 2 versions - Redout and Blackout - which look similar to the previous installments of New Kids series. Inside the package you will find a CD disk behind the front cover, a folded poster featuring all members of iKON, a 112 pages photobook, 1 sheet of stickers and a random photo card added from a lot of 7. All goods are again different in both versions of The Final.

A Redout and Blackout version of the poster was also included in the package if you pre-ordered your copy.

The New Kids Repackage Album

The members compiled the songs from their New Kids series into one release that came out on January 7, 2019. For the first time YG Plus Inc. Korea was the distributor of the group's album. The iKON album consists of the songs from New Kids: Begin, Return, New Kids: Continue and New Kids: The Final, with the addition of previously released single Rubber Band, and completely new song I'm OK. This was the last of iKON albums to feature B.I before he left the group in June of 2019.

I'm OK serves as the lead track. It was composed by B.I and Future Bounce, and written by B.I, Bobby and Kim Jong-won.

iKON The New Kids Repackage Album Cover

The repackage topped the Gaon chart and reached number 30 on the Japanese Oricon chart. It was the 5th best-selling Korean release of January 2019, and the 3rd most popular release of any boy group (behind the fifth mini album of Seventeen titled You Make My Day and Astro's first full-length album All Light). It sold 99,857 units that month.

Two different versions of the physical edition of The New Kids were released - Red and Black. Both come in a very different packaging in comparison to the previous iKON albums. They come in a translucent plastic box mad of an acrylic of a dimensions of 150 x 210 x 45 mm. Inside the box you will find a selection of interesting goods including 2 CDs with all 23 songs on a panel made of plastic and cardboard (135 x 185 mm), a very thick photobook with 120 pages of very nice pictures, a folded poster (360 x 468 mm), 2 group postcards (94 x 138 mm), a sheet of stickers (100 x 100 mm), a lyrics booklet (120 x 120 mm), a plastic card keychain with a signature of a random single member or the logo of iKON (50 x 90 mm), and finally a photo card added randomly out of 7 variants (55 x 85 mm). As always all merchandise are different in each of the two versions of The New Kids.

A double-sided poster was added for all pre-orders. Depending on the version of the album version you could get either Red or Black variant. Both options measure 515 x 728 mm.

I Decide Mini Album

The third extended play of iKON was released by YG Entertainment on February 6, 2020. It was again distributed by YG Plus. On the CD you will find 5 songs including Ah Yeah, Dive (title track), All The World, Holding On and Flower. Although B.I is not featured on the songs, he still is credited as the composer and lyricist of all of them except Flower.

The iKON album reached number 3 on the Gaon Weekly Chart and was the highest ranked album of any boy group during the debuting week between February 2 and 8. It also peaked at number 15 on the Oricon Chart. It became the 8th most-purchased KPop release of February after selling 55,254 copies.

iKON I Decide Mini Album Cover

2 different variants of I Decide were released - Red and Green. Both versions are composed of a CD disk, a 96 pages photobook (178 x 253 mm), an accordion postcard book (130 x 80 mm) with a 60 pages flip book (130 x 80 x 4 mm) in a separate cardboard cover (178 x 253 x 5 mm), a square sheet of stickers (110 x 110 mm), a random member 4cut photo card (50 x 160 mm), a card with a special code, and a photo card of a size of 55 x 85 mm randomly chosen out of 6 options. The size of the whole album is 185 x 260 x 24 mm.

A double-sided poster was prepared for all pre-orders. It comes in two variants, depending on the version of I Decide you purchased. Both measure 728 x 515 mm.

Flashback Mini Album

The fourth extended play of iKON titled Flashback came out on May 3, 2022 under YG Entertainment. The physical edition premiered a week later on May 10. It was distributed by YG Plus. There are 6 songs featured on the CD. That includes the opening But You, Dragon, For Real?, Gold, Name and At Ease. But You serves as the lead single and is accompanied by a music video.

The album did pretty well and reached number 2 on the Gaon weekly chart. It also peaked at the 10th position on the Oricon chart. It sold a total number of 96,250 copies in May of 2022 and became the 12th best-selling release of the month.

iKON Flashback Mini Album Cover

There are 9 versions of the physical edition of Flashback. That includes 2 normal versions (Red and Green), 6 digipak versions (1 per each of the members including Jay, Bobby, Song, Ju-Ne, DK and Chan), and 1 Kihno edition.

A special selection of merchandise was released for the fans to commemorate the premiere of the EP. You could get some interesting collectibles including a photo binder with a set of photo cards, a coin necklaces, an opener keyring, a bracelet, wallet, a cross bag and a pin badge.
