On February 15, 2019 at the New York Toy Fair 2019 it was revealed that a line of BTS Funko Pop figures will be released as a part of Pop! Rocks series. The line includes every member of BTS - J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Suga and V. It was exhibited at the New York event. Soon afterwards the figures were available for pre order on a various stores online. The official release date was decided to be sometime in April but later changed to May 2019.
Also a special sets were prepared to commemorate the premiere of songs Dynamite and Butter in 2020 and 2021 respectivelly.
The figurines are manufactured by Funko Inc. which is known for their merchandise related to pop culture. It was founded in 1998 and has worked with many famous brands like Marvel, Lucasfilm, Sony Pictures, Netflix, Mattel, Sega, Hanna-Barbera and Toei. The company sells collectibles such as toys, plush and action figures but is probably best known for their Funko Pop figures depicting real life and cartoon characters. Now it decided to join forces with Big Hit Entertainment (now Hybe) and create collectibles for the BTS fans and the KPop fans in general.
The design of the vinyl figures was probably inspired by the "F" concept photos of the compilation album Love Yourself: Answer. The figures can be ordered individually or in a set. The size of the item is 2.5 x 2.5 x 3.8 inches.
A limited edition of 7 BTS Funko Pop figures as a set is also available. It comes in a single package and is exclusively sold by a bookseller Barnes & Noble online store. Since the demand is big it can be out of stock at the time you're reading this article.
J-Hope's figure has a black hair and is wearing a white T-shirt with a blue tie, a grey shirt and red shorts. He also has a pair of mismatched shoes and two bracelets on his hands. He's making what it looks like a Michael Jackson pose.
Jimnin's figure is wearing a white shirt with a blue tie, a grey trousers and a pair of blue shoes. He has also a blue hoodie with him. This matches everything we see in the "F" concept photos.
Jin's character has a blonde hair and is wearing a checkered shirt, a pair of blue shoes and trousers similar to those of Jimin's. He is standing still and is sending a heart made with his fingers. He has a white bracelet on his right hand.
Jungkook's character has red hair and is wearing a blue and red hoodie. He also has red shoes and a light green shorts. He's standing with his legs apart and holding one hand raised on front.
RM has a blonde haircut and is covered with a green hoodie. He's wearing what appears to be an orange undershirt, yellow and grey shorts and blue and yellow shoes. He's making a sign of the horns with his both hands.
Suga's figure has a dark hair and is wearing a white sweater with green stripes. He has a pair of green shoes and grey trousers. He's standing with his right leg at the back and holding his arms lifted on front of his chest.
V has a colorful haircut and is wearing a checkered jacket with white shirt underneath. A grey shorts and white shoes complete his attire He's standing with a finger pointing out towards the viewer.
