NiziU Official Light Stick

The official NiziU light stick was revealed on the official Twitter account of the group on June 20, 2021. It was officially released the next day on June 21. A special unboxing video was released on Youtube in which the members introduced the collectible to their fans.

The light stick was announced alongside the collection of merchandise featured on the Japanese online store and at the special cafe located at the Kirarito Ginza shopping center in Japan.

The product is composed of a white handle and a transparent dome. Inside the dome you can spot a black cube incorporating the logo of NiziU placed on a circle disk. The handle features a round on/off button and the name of the group at the top on a round part.

It can produce the light in many different colors including gradations from red to purple and from coral blue to light purple, and the shades corresponding to each of the members including Mako (orange), Rio (blue), Maya (purple), Riku (yellow), Ayaka (white), Mayuka (green), Rima (red), Miihi (pink) and Nina (blue). Thanks to the RGBW LED almost any imaginable color can be achieved. The NiziU light stick can work in 2 modes - on and blink. It needs 3 AAA alkaline batteries to operate. The batteries are hidden in a special compartment placed inside the bottom part of the item, covered with a part of the handle. It comes with a special cradle which can substitute the batteries compartment (you will have to unscrew the bottom part of the handle first). The cradle is powered by a 5V 500mA USB cable.

Beside the NiziU light stick and the cradle inside the package you will also find a white hand strap which will be extremely useful during concerts, fanmeetings and other events, and a user manuals in three different languages including English, Japanese and Korean.

The collectible is equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0, so it could be connected to your device such as smartphone and tablet. The maximum operating range is 10 m. In theory it could be controlled via a central control at the venue where the concert or other event takes place. The NiziU light stick would be paired with a particular seat at the venue to create a wonderful light effects during the performances. Additionally a special app would allow you to change some of the settings such as the light color or its intensity. Unfortunately the official app is still not available. Hopefully it will show up in the near future.

The product measures 97.6 x 97.6 x 241.6 mm and comes in a beautiful white box with the name of the group printed in a holographic foil. It was manufactured in China by a reliable South Korean company Copan Global, which is known from the merchandise and the fanlights of many of KPop artists such as Twice.

The NiziU light stick came out along with a large collection of goods and was available from a special Japanese pop-up store operating at the location where the special cafe was opened. Both the store and the cafe launched at noon on July 3, 2021 at the Kirarito Ginza shopping center in Tokyo. They were active until August 31.

The light stick was available among other products including a pencil set, a pamphlet showcasing all members of NiziU, a polo shirt, a tote bag, trading cards, an image pickets, a photo badges, mini frame magnets, a set of 9 photo cards, a trading card case, a photo blocks, a set of die-cut stickers in a transparent PVC bag, a roll of clear tape, a body bag, a pair of sandals, a pass case, an Airpod accessory, a colorful wristbands, and pin badges.

Nine additional items were produced by the members of NiziU. That includes a notebook, pouch, a hand towel, a black cap, an iPhone case (iPhone 7/8 and X/XS), a mobile charger, a mirror, an Airpods case and a hair tie.
