Pentagon Albums

There are 13 Pentagon albums released to date, including 1 studio album and 12 extended plays. All of them had their premiere under and were manufactured by Cube Entertainment. The distribution was provided by Loen Entertainment (later as Kakao M Corp.). The KPop group debuted with their first EP in October 2016.

Pentagon Mini Album

The group released their first extended play of the same title as the name of the band on October 10, 2016. It came out under Cube Entertainment, was manufactured by the company, and was distributed by Loen Entertainment. It consists of 7 tracks including the intro Wake Up, Pentagon, Gorilla, Lukewarm, Smile, Organic Song (performed by E'Dawn, Yuto, Wooseok and Hui), and You Are (performed by Hui, Jinho, Shinwon, Hongseok, Yeo One, Yan An and Kino).

Gorilla serves as the title track for which a music video came out the same day the mini album premiered. It was produced by Gavin Jones, Ali Zackowski and Harry Sommerdah. The lyrics were written by Seo Ji-eum. You Are was composed by Hui, while the composition for Organic Song was created by him and E'Dawn.

The first of Pentagon albums reached number 5 on the Gaon Weekly Chart. It sold 7,950 copies during its first month of the premiere and ultimately was the 19th best-selling KPop album of October.

The physical edition of the EP comes in a square black box with the logo of Pentagon in gold on the front cover. Inside the packaging you will find a CD disk attached to the lid of the box, a photobook, an ID photo featuring the face of a single member, a film photo randomly chosen from a lot of 10 variants. The CD disk is randomly selected out of 6 options (5 unit (2 members per unit) and 1 group version). Not photo cards are included with this release.

A poster was included as a pre-order benefit. It showcases all 10 members of Pentagon.

Five Senses Mini Album

The second of Pentagon albums was released less than two months after the first, on December 7, 2016 by Cube Entertainment. For the second time Loen Entertainment was responsible for the distribution. On the CD you will find 5 tracks - Can You Feel It, Engine, Pretty Pretty, Lose Yourself and Stay Crazy. The title song Can You Feel It was produced by Son Young-jin and Ferdy. E'Dawn, Wooseok and Yuto contributed to the lyrics for Engine, Lose Yourself and Stay Crazy. A month later, on January 22, 2017, a music video for another song from the EP - Pretty Pretty, was released. It features Chungha, at that time a member of I.O.I.

Pentagon Five Senses Mini Album Cover

To support the album's release a special showcase was held at the Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul.

Five Senses peaked at number 5 on the Gaon chart. It later became the 13th most-purchased Korean release of December 2016 with 19,087 copies sold.

The second of Pentagon albums is available in 1 version and in a similar box to the group's first EP. This time the box is gold and showcases a black logo. Inside the package you will find a CD disk randomly selected out of 10 variants, a 120 pages photo book with some beautiful pictures inside, and random photo card chosen from a lot of 20 different sheets.

Additionally a poster was offered for the first press units of this Pentagon album.

Ceremony Mini Album

The third extended play of the group and the third Pentagon album overall had its premiere on June 12, 2017 under Cube. 7 tracks were included on the CD - the title song Critical Beauty, Lucky, To Universe, Nothing, Spectacular, Thank You (performed by Jinho and Hui) and Beautiful.

The lead single was composed and arranged by Olivier 'Akos' Castelli and Justin Stein, with the lyrics provided by Park Woo-hyun. Jinho co-composed To Universe, while E'Dawn, Yuto, Wooseok and Hui were credited as the lyricists of To Universe, Nothing, Spectacular and Thank You. Beautiful was produced by Ilhoon - a member of BtoB.

Ceremony debuted at the 6th position on the Gaon Weekly chart and sold 16,907 copies during June 2017, which allowed it to become the 11th best-selling album of the month.

This was another of Pentagon albums that came with a square box of a size of 200 x 200 mm. It is composed of a CD disk chosen randomly out of 6 variants, a 120 pages photobook, and 1 random photo card added from a lot of 20 sheets (2 per member). 1 random poster showing either the whole group a single member was also included.

Demo_01 Mini Album

Demo_01 is the fourth mini album of the group and the fourth Pentagon album overall, and was released by Cube on September 6, 2017 digitally and on September 8, 2017 physically. On the CD you will find 5 new songs with Like This serving as the lead single. The other tracks were It's Over, One More Night, Get That Drink (performed by the rap unit), and When I Was in Love.

Like This was composed by Flow Blow and Hui, while E'Dawn, Yuto, Wooseok and Hui wrote the lyrics. The members of Pentagon were heavily involved with the creating process of all the songs on Demo_01.

Pentagon Demo_01 Mini Album Cover

The EP reached number 8 on the Gaon chart and entered the Japanese Oricon chart at the 99th position. It ended the debuting month as the 15th most popular KPop release with 13,759 copies sold.

This is the first time when a physical edition of Pentagon album differs from the previous releases. This time we have a picture of all members on the cover instead of the group's logo, four members on the front and six on the back side of the cover. Demo_01 comes with a CD disk with the music chosen randomly out of 4 variants, 2 photobooks (84 and 52 pages) of a size of 194 x 194 mm, and 1 random photo card chosen out of 23 options.

1 poster (out of 2 versions) was included as a pre-order benefit.

Demo_02 Mini Album

The fifth mini album of the group titled Demo_02 came out on November 22, 2017 under Cube Entertainment. The EP is composed of 5 tracks including Violet, Runaway, All Right, Pretty Boys (performed by the rap unit), and Stay (performed by the vocal unit). The members, including Kino, E'Dawn, Yuto, Wooseok, Hui and Jinho, co-composed and wrote all of the songs on the album. The lead single Runaway was composed by Hui and Flow Blow, and arranged by the latter.

Demo_02 reached number 8 on the Gaon chart and sold 11,015 units in November 2017, becoming the 24th most-purchased album of the month.

The physical edition of this Pentagon album is similar to its predecessor, and measure 200 x 200 mm. It is composed of a randomly added CD disk (out of 11 different options), 84 and 52 pages photobooks, a random square postcard selected from a lot of 30 sheets (170 x 170 mm), and finally 1 photo card added at random out of 20 variants (60 x 85 mm).

You could also get 1 of 11 posters if you pre-ordered your copy of this Pentagon album. They measure 750 x 520 mm.

Positive Mini Album

The sixth mini album of Pentagon was released by Cube on April 2, 2018. It was the last release featuring E'Dawn who eventually departed from the group on November 14, 2018. Additionally he is credited as the composer and lyricist of some of the songs.

On this Pentagon album you will find 6 tracks including Off-Road, Shine, Think About You, Do It for Fun (performed by the rap unit), Nothing I Can Do and Let's Go Together. The title Shine was produced by Flow Blow, Hui and E'Dawn, and written by E'Dawn, Hui, Yuto and Wooseok. The music video for the hit surpassed 100 million views on November 11, 2018.

Pentagon Positive Mini Album Cover

Positive debuted at the 7th position on the Gaon chart, but peaked at number 6 more than a month later during the week between May 13 and 19, 2018. It sold 24,998 copies during the whole April, and additional 20,673 copies during May, and as a result charted on 15th and 9th positions on the monthly best-seller list respectively. It finished the year as 81 most popular Korean album with 52,488 units sold.

The seventh of Pentagon albums comes in 1 physical version consisting of a random CD disk (11 different options), 2 photobooks (84 pages and 52 pages), 1 randomly chosen photo cards of a dimensions of 52 x 86 mm (20 different options).

3 posters were prepared as a pre-order bonus. You could get 1 random sheet measuring 720 x 520 mm.

Thumbs Up! Mini Album

The seventh extended play of the group titled Thumbs Up! had its premiere on September 10, 2018 under Cube Entertainment. This was the first of Pentagon albums to not feature E'Dawn, although he is still credited as the composer and lyricist. Yan An did not participate in the comeback due to his health problems.

Thumbs Up! consists of 5 songs including the title track Naughty Boy, Just Do It Yo!!, Skateboard, When It Rains at Night and Thumbs Up!. Naughty Boy was composed by Flow Blow, Hui and E'Dawn. The other members once again were involved in the creating process of the music including the composition and writing the lyrics.

The Pentagon album managed to reach number 4 on the Gaon chart (the highest position so far), and sold 21,585 copies during its premiere month finishing at the 13th position of the best-sellers list of September. The album was listed at number 7 on the 20 Best K-pop Albums of 2018: Critics' Picks list by Billboard.

The physical edition of Thumbs Up! consists of a CD disk randomly chosen out of 4 different options, a 112 pages photobook (200 x 200 mm), 1 random photo card with a picture of a single member chosen out of 16 options (2 per member).

To commemorate the premiere of Thumbs Up! a selection of 2 pieces of merchandise were prepared for the fans. You could purchase either a set of 9 lenticular photo cards (8 individual member and 1 group sheet) of a size of 54 x 85 mm and 9 different photos with either a single member or the whole group (85 x 195 mm).

Genie:us Mini Album

Genie:us is the eight mini album of Pentagon. It was released by Cube on March 27, 2019 and distributed by Kakao M Corp. (formerly known as Loen Entertainment). On the CD you will find six songs - Sha La La, Lost Paradise (performed by the Hip Hop unit), Till... (performed by the Ballad unit), Alien, Spring Snow, and a bonus track Round 1. For the first time E'Dawn was not involved in any way with the release of the Pentagon album.

All members, especially Hui, Yuto, Kino and Wooseok, were credited as either composer or lyricist of one or more songs on the album. Sha La La was serves as the title track. It was produced by Hui, Han Yo Han and Minit.

Pentagon Genie:us Mini Album Cover

Genie:us peaked at the 5th position on the Gaon Weekly chart. With 13,459 copies sold it became the 21st best-selling South Korean release of March 2019.

The Pentagon album is available in 1 version, featuring a beautiful pop-up showcasing all members of Pentagon under the front cover. Its size is 200 x 200 mm and it comes with a CD disk randomly chosen out of 3 options, a 112 photo book featuring some beautiful pictures of Pentagon, 1 random postcard (9 options, 120 x 170 mm), and 1 photo card of an atypical size of 80 x 190 mm randomly selected out of 9 variants.

1 long poster of a dimensions of 1200 x 270 mm was also prepared for the release.

Sum(me:r) Mini Album

The ninth extended play and the ninth of Pentagon albums was released by Cube Entertainment on July 17, 2019. It was distributed by Kakao M. It does feature Yan An who couldn't participate in the promotions related to the comeback due to some health problems.

Sum(me:r) contains 4 songs including Humph!, Fantasystic, Summer! and a bonus track Round 2. The lead single Humph! was produced by Giriboy and Hui, and written by the duo along with Wooseok. BuzzFeed ranked it at the 10th position on the 30 Songs That Helped Define K-Pop in 2019 list. All other members are also listed on the credits for the EP.

Pentagon Sum(me:r) Mini Album Cover

To support the mini album, Pentagon prepared a special showcase that took place at the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall in Seoul on July 17.

Sum(me:r) is the second of Pentagon albums after Thumbs Up! that peaked at number 4 on the Gaon chart. It also reached number 12 and 49 at Billboard US World and Oricon charts respectively. The EP was the 16th most popular KPop album in July of 2019 with 27,804 units sold.

The physical edition of this Pentagon album comes in a hardcover photobook form of a size of 200 x 200 mm, and comes with a randomly chosen out of 4 versions CD disk, a 120 pages photobook, 1 out of 4 random sticker (80 x 80 mm), 1 postcard selected randomly out of 9 variants (120 x 170 mm), and 1 photo card chosen at random from a lot of 9 variants, with an interesting wavy edge on one side (66 x 95 mm).

Universe: The Black Hall Studio Album

The first full-length album of Pentagon has its premiere on February 12, 2020 under Cube Entertainment and was distributed by Kakao M. Yan An was not featured on this release. On the CD you will find 11 songs including Dr. BeBe, Asteroid, Shower of Rain, Die for You, Talk, The Black Hall, Worship U, Zoom Up, Camellia, special track Someday, and the Korean version of Happiness.

Dr. BeBe was chosen as the main track. It was produced by Hui, Nathan and Yunji, Wooseok helped with the lyrics. Happiness was previously released as a single in Japan in 2019.

Pentagon Universe: The Black Hall Studio Album Cover

On December 12, 2019 a media showcase took place at the YES24 Live Hall in Seoul to promote the premiere of the Pentagon album. A special showcase without the attendees was held on January 28, 2020 and streamed online through V Live app.

Universe: The Black Hall reached number 3 on the Gaon Weekly chart which is their biggest success to date. It eventually sold 56,920 copies during February 2020 and was the 6th best-selling Korean album that month (the 3rd album of any boy group after Map of the Soul: 7 of BTS and Reveal of The Boyz). The studio album later became the 49th most popular KPop release of 2020 with a total number of 62,746 units sold.

Universe: The Black Hall is the first of Pentagon albums that is available in more than 1 version. You can get either Upside (black cover) or Downside (dark blue cover) version. Both come with a paper sleeve and connect on the sides. They consist of a 96 pages photobook (200 x 200 mm), a CD disk in a case, 1 randomly chosen out of 4 variants sticker (127 x 127 mm), 1 mini poster showcasing a random member (380 x 570 mm), and 2 random photo cards selected from a lot of 16 variants (2 per each member of Pentagon).

A special photo card was included as a pre-order benefit. It was chosen randomly out of 8 variants. There are 48 different photo cards available with Universe: The Black Hall if you want to complete the collection. That includes 32 standard and 16 pre-order sheets. All photo cards measure 64 x 88 mm.

All merchandise are unique to the version of the album except stickers and mini posters.

2 different posters (Upside and Downside version) were prepared for this release. They measure 750 x 520 mm.

We:th Mini Album

We:th is the tenth extended play of Pentagon. It was released by Cube on October 12, 2020 and distributed by Kakao M. It does not feature Jinho who enlisted in the military earlier that year, on May 11, 2020. Yanan returned for the comeback after his more than a year lasting hiatus.

The EP consists of six songs including Daisy, Beautiful Goodbye, Nostalgia, You Like, Paradise (This Night Where Stars Shine) and I’m Here, which is present only on the physical edition, performed by Jinho. The lead single Daisy was produced by Hui, Nathan, Wooseok and Yunji, and features the lyrics written by Hui and Wooseok. All tracks of We:th were also co-composed and written by the members of Pentagon.

Pentagon We:th Mini Album Cover

A special media showcase hosted by MC Haru took place at the Blue Square iMarket Hall in Seoul on the day of album's premiere.

We:th reached number 4 on the Gaon chart and number 16 on the Oricon chart. It sold 84,575 units in October of 2020 and was the 11th best-selling Korean release of the month. By the end of November 2020 it sold 110,479 copies and became the first of Pentagon albums to surpass the number of 100,000 copies in sales.

The eleventh of Pentagon albums comes in 2 different versions - Seen (grey cover) and Unseen (white cover). Both measure 200 x 200 mm, come with a slip case and are composed of a CD disk in a randomly chosen out of 8 variants package (130 x 130 mm), a photobooks (one 132 pages in Seen version and 9 small 16 pages photobooks in Unseen version) of a size of 198 x 198 mm, a lyric paper (180 x 180 mm) in an envelope (195 x 195 mm), a random scratch card (8 variants, 88 x 64 mm), a plastic transparent bookmark randomly chosen out of 8 variants (50 x 150 mm), 1 randomly selected sticker drawn by the members (8 options, 100 x 100 mm), and 1 random photo card of a standard size of 55 x 85 mm, added from a lot of 32 sheets (4 per member of Pentagon). All merchandise available with this Pentagon album are unique to the version of the album you'll be getting except the photo cards, the lyric paper, scratch cards and stickers.

Love or Take Mini Album

The eleventh mini album of Pentagon was released under the title Love or Take on March 15, 2021 by Cube and Universal Music. There are 7 songs on the release including 10s and, Do Or Not, 1+1, Baby I Love You, That's Me, Sing-a-song, and a special bonus track Boy in Time performed by Hui. Do Or Not was chosen as the title track.

It is worth noting that although Hui was featured on Love or Take, he did not participated in the following activities promoting the record due to his military enlistment. All songs were co-composed or co-written by him or Wooseok.

The extended play managed to reach number 3 on the Gaon weekly chart and number 8 on the monthly chart (with a total sales of 88,552 copies). By the end of 2021 it sold 114,355 units becoming the 91st biggest seller of the year.

If you're planning to buy a copy of the physical edition you can choose between 3 different versions - Romantic (red cover), Sporty (grey cover) and Mild (purple cover). All of them come with a special cover included at random of 8 variants, and are composed of a CD disk in a special packaging, a 96 pages photobook, a lyric paper, a mini poster selected randomly out of 8 options of a size of 270 x 386 mm, a special plastic sheets, and 2 random photo cards included from a lot of 48 variants.

In:vite U Mini Album

In:vite U is the twelfth extended play of Pentagon. It had its premiere on January 24, 2022 under Cube and Universal Music. It is composed of 6 tracks including Feelin' Like, One Shot, The Game, Call My Name, Sparkling Night and Bad. Feelin' Like serves as the lead single of the album. The members once again contributed to the production of the songs.

Pentagon In:vite U Mini Album Cover

The mini album topped the Gaon weekly chart and is the first record of the group to do so. It also reached number 16 on the Oricon chart. With the sales equal 76,260 copies, the EP was the 10th best-seller of January of 2022. It sold additional 23,139 copies in February.

In:vite U comes in 2 physical versions - Nouveau (black cover) and Flare (white cover). Both measure 164 x 214 mm and consist of a CD disk, a 96 pages photobook, a folded lyric paper, 1 random photo card selected out of 8 variants, a selfie photo card (also 8 options), and a name tag measuring 50 x 120 mm.

2 posters (one oriented horizontally and the other vertically) were prepared for this release. Both are of a size of 520 x 750 mm.
