BTS Baskin Robbins

The BTS Baskin Robbins collaboration was established on June 30, 2020 and resulted in a creation of several products. That includes new flavors of ice cream, cakes, and other collectibles such as photo cards and figurines.

Baskin Robbins is at worldwide chain of ice cream and cake shop restaurants which are currently owned by Inspire Brands. The chain was founded in 1945 in California by two businessmen Burt Baskin and Irv Robins. It is one of the world's largest chain of that kind with more than 8000 locations in almost 50 countries all around the globe.

The BTS Baskin Robbins products created as a result of the partnership were available only domestically in South Korea, the fans living abroad were a little bit less lucky.

The members of BTS became the ambassadors of the brand ahead of the 2020 Summer season. In July the pre-orders for a special cake began, while a promotional commercial was released in August. The Baskin Robbins cake was named "7" and was inspired by the group's fourth full-length album titled Map of the Soul: 7. It is composed of seven different blocks of differently flavored ice cream shaped as a number 7. It was promoted with a special poster showcasing all seven members of BTS including V, J-Hope, Jin, Jimin, RM, Suga and Jungkook.

BTS Baskin Robbins 7 Cake

This wonderful BTS Baskin Robbins product features seven delicious flavors - Mom Is Alien (dark and white chocolate with milk), Mint Chocolate Chip, Blueberry Cheese Cake, Shooting Star, Almond Bonbon, Cookies And Cream, and Very Berry Strawberry. If you purchased this Baskin Robbins ice cream cake, you have gotten a special light keychain able to project a lucky message. The keychain has a purple hand strap and comes in an elegant purple box with the logos of both BTS and the brand on the lid. This product was unfortunately not available for the international fans, so you could buy it only at the locations in South Korea. This desert was not only looking great but also tasted very well.

On July 29, 2020 a new ice cream flavor Bora Bora was revealed as part of the BTS Baskin Robbins collaboration. Some new interesting delicious products also showed up including Bora Bora Blast, Ice Cream Macaroon Ice Mochi, and cake. The cake is especially appealing, with its three layers. At the bottom you will find a round layer with six distinctive pieces, while the upper two levels are both composed of nine blocks of Baskin Robbins ice cream. It was available in South Korea for a reasonably affordable price of 28,000 KRW.

BTS Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Block Pack Set

A month later, in August of 2020, a special BTS Baskin Robbins block pack set was released. The set was composed of eight different containers, each with a different flavor of ice cream. Inside the package you will find a group block containing previously released Bora Bora flavor, and seven individual member flavors - Puss In Boots (RM), Cotton Candy Wonderland (Jin), Mint Choco (J-Hope), Shooting Star (Suga), New York Cheesecake (Jimin), Almond Bon Bon Bob (V), and Green Tea (Jungkook). Each of the plastic containers can be a great collectible, with its cool design featuring a picture of a selected member holding ice cream, and the title of the flavor. These are easily available on numerous e-commerce auction sites so you can get them if you want to add them to your KPop collection.

A single bonus item was included inside the package - a set of exclusive photo cards. There are seven Baskin Robbins photo cards in the set, each with a photo of a single member. Everything comes in a nice sturdy cardboard box with many colorful details on it, and a handle so you can carry it around. You could pre-order the package between August 4 and 7 for a discounted price of 22,300 KRW, or purchase it for a full price of 27,900 KRW in the stores.

A similar set of BTS Baskin Robbins ice cream was released to promote the TinyTan cartoon characters.

The TinyTan characters were introduced back in 2019 at the pop-up store BTS Pop-Up: House of BTS. The temporary shop was located at the Gangnam-gu in Seoul. It operated for a total of 80 days between October 18, 2019 and January 5, 2020. The customers had an opportunity to acquire some high-quality collectibles inspired by the cartoon characters, such as apparel, toys and stationery. Similar stores were later opened for the public in three different cities in Japan - Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka.

The BTS Baskin Robbins set is composed - unlike the previous one - of 7 blocks containing the delicious ice cream, and showcasing the illustrations of the TinyTan characters. Each of them features also a sentence defining the BTS alter egos - "little hope right here" (J-Hope), "adorable golden baby" (Jungkook), "precious baby bear" (V), "unbreakable cuteness" (RM), "worldwide cutie" (Jin), and "sweetie with swagger" (Suga).

The biggest advantage of this BTS Baskin Robbins set is that it comes with a selection of figures. There is a single figure per each block of ice cream, so that means you will get a full set of the whole group. The figure depicts a single member of BTS, and comes with a round purple stand. The block containers can also be a great collectible, especially since they are a limited edition release. You will probably have no chance to get a new iteration anytime soon. Everything is carefully packed in a nice cardboard package.

At the end of the Summer vacation of 2020, in September, a new flavor of BTS Baskin Robbins ice cream after Bora Bora was introduced. The limited edition flavor was called Pink Love and featured a combination of three different component flavors - two mint and white chocolate. Visually it is composed of pink, beige and green colors. It is another great fruit of the collaboration between two parties.

Although the Baskin Robbins products released for the fans of BTS were only available domestically for the customers in South Korea, you can still get the related collectibles if you live abroad. Especially if you collect the merchandise related to your favorite group. I'm sure they will be a great addition to other items you already own, and will look nicely on your shelf in your room or office.
